It’s time to say, “Yes to VBS!” VBS 2026 is less than TWO WEEKS away! Woo hoo! This year’s theme is Illumination Station! June 22-25, from 6:00-8:45pm, we will explore all the ways light brightens, illuminates, reflects and reveals. As we look at light, we will discover that Jesus is the true light…He is the Light of the World!

Many people think they know who Jesus is, but really, they are in the dark. During VBS we will discover that Jesus is the Promised Son of God, Proven Son of God, Powerful Son of God, Perfect Son of God and God’s Plan for Forgiveness. Through Worship Rallies, Bible Studies, Crafts, Dinner, Missions and more, Jesus will be illuminated. Our hope is that those who come in walking in darkness leave walking in the light of Christ!

John 8:12, Jesus says, “I am the light of the world, anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.” Many of our neighbors go throughout their daily lives never realizing that they are walking in darkness. They go to work, raise families, do all the everyday things required of them. They would probably even say their lives are happy. Yet we know that if they do not know Jesus, their lives are full of darkness. All I have to do is watch the news, or open my phone, to see the reality of that darkness in people’s lives. The solution is so simple: JESUS!

We have an opportunity through VBS to literally break through the darkness in our community with the light of Jesus. Will you invite your friends and neighbors to VBS? Will you attend with them? Will you be a part of welcoming children, teens and adults into our church so that they can hear and see the truth about Jesus? We have two weeks left to get the word out. Let’s invite everyone we see to join us for VBS 2026: Illumination Station!

P.S. Exciting News!! We will have a Welsh friend from Temple Baptist Church in Ponty Pridd joining us for VBS this year! His name is Dan Rees and he is amazing! Check next week’s blog for more information on Dan and his first trip to Texas!
