C.C.B.R.R. is the basis for our new Wednesday night Kidmin Program – HiFIVE! It is such a simple, but effective pneumonic to remember the basics of our Christian faith.  Let me break it down for you:

C: Created on Purpose.  We are not an accident. God created each of us specifically and intentionally. He knew exactly what He was doing!

Psalm 139:16 says, “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

C: Created for a Purpose: Not only are we intentionally and purposefully created, but we are also created FOR a purpose. What is our purpose? Ultimately it is to bring glory and honor to God.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them”

B: Broken by Sin. Everyone in the world sins. There is no denying that truth. But sometimes we have a tendency to not really consider the seriousness of our sin. Sin breaks our relationship with God. It separates us from God for all eternity.

Isaiah 59:2 says, “but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.”

R: Redeemed by Jesus: While our sin leaves our relationship with God broken, there is hope. We are redeemed through the sacrifice, grace and mercy of Jesus.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”

Restored: Even when we are redeemed by Jesus, we live in a fallen, broken world. But one day we will be restored to God in heaven! We will have perfect, beautiful, sinless bodies and will worship God each and every day, all day long!

John 14:3 says, “ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also”

C.C.B.R.R.: 5 simple truths that sum up the Gospel in a way children (and adults) can understand. Everything we do in Shady Oaks Kidmin is done to teach children these FIVE principles so that they will one day have an active, growing, thriving relationship with Jesus.
